Rock and Pop

Well, despite the title this post will not be about music. Instead you'll get links to two brand new Swedish web comics by Johan Wanloo and Jimmy Wallin respectively.

Rock Manlyfist
First out is Rock Manlyfist by Johan Wanloo. It began less than a month ago and is updated weekly. Check out why he's called the master of Space Karate! Just click HERE!

Or "Karl-Alfred" as he's known as in Sweden, makes his return in an adventure on Skull Cave Island.
Written and drawn by Jimmy Wallin.

Bamse & Nina Kanin

Next week will see the release of "my" new book: Bamse och Nina Kanin på äventyr! ("Bamse and Nina Kanin's adventure") This is the third book I've written in the series of new Bamse books. (Twelve books in total. The other books are written by Mårten Melin, Charlotta Borelius and others.)
The two other books I wrote were re-makes of comic book stories*, but this one is an all new story. (*Based on plots by me and scripts by Mårten.)

Artwork is by Thomas Holm who did both pencils and inks.
And he recently surprised me with giving me the original art to one of the spreads!
Thanks, Thomas! I love it!

E&S revisited

A quick update if anyone wonders what I'm up to right now, this very moment at a café in Gothenburg, drinking coffee and eating blueberry muffins.
I'm currently working on the 8'th issue of mine, Emma's and Hedvig's "Emma & Sara". This issue will feature all the pages we made in 2008 and sporting a brand new cover by Hedvig. (I hope. Please, Hedvig!)
It will be in black and white with color covers as usual.
If everything falls in to place it will be released at SPX in 2011. :)

I sure miss working with Emma and Hedvig on this bi-weekly page.
It was fun. But nine years is quite a long time for a comic to last nowdays, anyway.
Here are some sample panels in color, from 2008.

"Where there's smoke" Part III

The third and final installment of Carl Barks Junior Woodchucks story "Where there's smoke". Notice that Bill doesn't have the original for page 11, so what's shown here is a photocopy. Enjoy!
