It doesn't matter how many times I see this. McKay was an amazing artist, and must have had a real talent for animation. I mean, the animation is really good even compared with todays standards... and he did it without cells just on ordinary sketching paper... Amazing. Simply amazing.
Does anyone know whether his "friends" were actually artists of the day or just actors?
I think I've read somewhere that George McManus is one of the guys. The others?
And I just realized that this one is to be found on a DVD along with several other MCCay shorts. Gotta get it now!:)
I bought a VHS with several McCay shorts on the large Stockholm Cinemateket VHS sale some year ago. Haven't watched it tii carefully, though, so I'm not sure if this clip in included...

Well. I got this film and several others on the Laserdisc McKay box. You can get it on DVD nowadays and it includes about everything McKay animated from Gertie the Dinosaur to the Mosquito...
Pretty good viewing in my opinion. Even though it is quite aged today.
