Wednesday=Barksday
Even though Barks is most famous for his ducks, he sure could draw humans too. As shown in todays post. Some of these have found their ways into books some have not. Enjoy!
Can't remember seeing the above drawing in a more finished state. Was it ever used for a painting?

Thanks for displaying this interesting material! It's always nice to see rare Barks drawings. He wasn't really a master when it comes to humans, but that almost makes it more interesting, that a guy who really wasn't an exceptional artist by some standards managed to make such compelling stories through sheer dedication and effort and an imaginative mind. A bit like Don Rosa who can't draw either but is so dedicated that he makes it work. Sometimes a dedicated "stiff" artist is more convincing than a more "flowing" talented artist. Barks and Rosa make us believe that Duckburg is real because they themselves believe it is.

That might be the nicest and most accurate compliment anyone ever paid me. Thanks!

Er... "anonymous" #2 = Don Rosa. Not #1.
Wow, is the internet great, or what? I'm deeply honored. Please note that you're in the "can't draw" club together with Carl Barks, Don, so it's not all that bad. Barks and yourself are great examples of what a man can accomplish if he sets his mind and heart to it. Not unlike a certain feathered tycoon. - Anonymous no 1
