Before Dixie even had her own strip she appeared in Liberty magazine in a series of illustrated stories. Here is one installment from September 14, 1929. Enjoy!

Didn't realize that Striebel had worked directly from stills of Brooks when illustrating this story. He did a pretty good job...
But wait a minute! Is Dixie having an affair with Franklin D. Roosevelt?? (See first picture)
