Barks at Emigrant Creek.

Wednesday = Barksday
A photo that I don't think has seen print. (?)
Looks like it was shot the same day as the photo labeled "Late 1920s" at carlbarks.dk's photogallery. But I have to disagree about that date.
To me, Barks looks more like he's in his early 50's.
[Edit: He's probably in his 30's. See Gunnar Andreassens comment.]

Where did this photo come from?

From Barks private photo album. Sold on eBay a year ago or so.

The photo has been published in Carl Barks - Calgary Eye Opener (Jokes, drawings and poems) - Egmont Norway December 200) as a frontispiece with text:
Carl Barks in Oregon ca. 1930, before he moved east to join the Calgary Eye Opener.
I agree that it very probably is that old.

To me he looks like more than 30 years old. But I guess you are right. People probably looked older when they were in their 30's back then.

Would love to get that book. But I guess it's impossible to get without a subscription to the whole series. And it's not released at all in Sweden. Grumble and groan...
